No, you don’t need a referral to see us. However, if you’re claiming under Medicare, DVA, Workers’ Compensation or Motor Vehicle Accident insurance, a GP referral is required.

Yes, Medicare can cover physiotherapy in certain situations.

Physiotherapy services may be eligible for Medicare rebates under that Medicare Chronic Disease Management (formally Enhanced Primary Care) program, when a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangement are in place. Eligibility is at the discretion of your GP.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and gives your physiotherapist access to the area being treated. Supportive footwear is also helpful if exercise or rehabilitation is part of your session.
